Formed in 1982, ARK II - The Animal Rights Kollective is a Toronto-based, grassroots animal advocacy organization. ARK II organizes and hosts events in and around the Toronto area on a broad range of issues including: farmed animals; veganism; animals used for textiles, including leather, fur, and wool; animals used in laboratories; hunting and fishing; and companion animals, including strays and over-breeding.
ARK II seeks to promote and protect the rights of all animals and foster their individual liberties through direct action, political action and public awareness campaigns. We will strive to build a world where animal liberation and human liberation become one in a fabric of mutual respect, tolerance and compassion.
ARK II's sister animal rescue is All Creatures Rescue also based in Toronto, Ontario. Please visit the website to see which animals are available for adoption.
ARK II endorses Liberation BC and Vancouver Animal Defense League's Boycott Winners campaign. As Canadians, we have a right to demand that Winners stop selling fur and extend their charity and compassion for human causes to animals and the environment.
