A vegetarian is someone who enjoys a plant-based diet, but who consumes animal by-products such as eggs and dairy products. Animals in Experimentation - Vivisection

A rat is not a chimp is not a dog is not a human

That’s pretty basic biology, right? Then why does animal experimentation still continue when species vary so greatly from each other? To put it in simplest terms, disease manifests itself VERY differently in different species and they will therefore react differently to medications. Similarly, humans and non-humans are so different in terms of physiology and in terms of cellular and molecular level (which is where disease occurs) that to vivisect (or cut up) an animal as a means of extrapolating results to apply to human illness is laughable.

We have actively campaigned with several environmental and animal welfare groups on such issues as: endangered species, habitat destruction, pirate whaling, shark finning, sport hunting, trapping, fishing, logging and mining in provincial parks.

Keep It Wild!

ARK II is in partnership with groups such as the Toronto Wildlife Centre, whose aim is to rehabilitate sick, injured and orphaned wild animals and to educate the public on how to respect wildlife.

Canada's commercial seal hunt is the largest slaughter of marine mammals on earth. Since 2004, more than 1.3 million seals have been killed for their fur.
