Boycott P&G
Proctor & Gamble (P&G) are the world’s largest consumer products company, with an annual turnover of over $43 billion. They are committed to using an animal testing model rather than adopt an cruelty free model of production.
Don't Delay, take action today!
Traditionally known in Canada for Ivory soap and Tide detergent, they now produce a massive range of products in hair care, cosmetics, perfumes, personal hygiene, laundry products, snack food, paper and feminine hygiene – and even companion animal food.
In Canada alone, P&G's consumer products sales are over $2.9 billion. Millions of people use P&G products everyday unaware that the company still conducts lethal animal tests to develop new cosmetic & household products and chemical ingredients.
Yet polls reveal most consumers would switch to a cruelty-free company if only they had the necessary information. Everyone has a vital role to play in informing consumers about P&G's animal testing, and the hundreds of cruelty-free alternatives available.
Why Boycott P&G?
P&G spends millions of dollars to package itself as a responsible, caring company, and claims to be a leader in the development of alternatives to the use of animals in product testing.
They admit that guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, rats and mice are among the animals used in their ‘product safety research’ and cats and dogs are used in experiments for their pet foods. They are very secretive about the nature of the experiments themselves.
Of course P&G realize that the vast majority of people are against animal experiments for cosmetics and household cleaning products, so they try to give the impression that they only test on animals as a last resort. This is untrue. A leaked memo revealed that P&G have been lobbying behind the scenes to stop a ban on animal testing for cosmetics within the EU.
The truth is that P&G could stop animal testing today without hindering anyone's safety. We urge everyone to boycott of P&G until the company abandons all unnecessary animal tests, including those carried out by the Iams/Eukanuba brand companion animal food.
Other P&G BRANDS that are TESTED ON ANIMALS include:
Cover Girl, Max Factor, Noxzema, Ohm, Olay, Camay, Ivory, Safeguard, Zest, Secret, Sure, Luvs, Pampers, Always, Pantene, Pringles, Folgers, Milstone Coffee, Sunny Delight, Torengos, Giorgio of Beverly Hills, Helmut Lang, Herve Leger, Hugo Boss, Old Spice, Bounty, Charmin, Puffs, Downy, Actonel, Duracell, Olay, Head & Shoulders, Wella, A Touch of Sun, Aussie, Balsam Color, Clairol, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Hydrience, Infusium 23, Lasting Color, Loving Care, Men's Choice, Natural Instincts, Nice 'n Easy, Pantene, Pert Plus, Physique, Ultress, Vidal Sassoon, Bounce, Cascade, Cheer, Comet, Dawn, Downy, Dreft, Dryel, Era, Febreze, Gain, Ivory, Ivory Snow, Joy, Mr. Clean, Swiffer, Tide, Gillette, Braun, DayQuil, Metamucil, NyQuil, Pepto-Bismol, PUR water filtration system, Sinex, Thermacare, Vicks, Crest, Fixodent, Gleem, Oral-B, Scope and Whitestrips.
We urge everyone to boycott P&G. Until it stops its animal cruelty, the letters P&G will stand for nothing but Pain & Greed!
