Stop the Seal Hunt

With more than one million harp seals clubbed and shot to death for their fur over the last 6 years, Canada's commercial seal hunt is the largest slaughter of marine mammals on earth.

Don't delay, take action today! 

WRITE TO POLITICIANS: Send a letter, e-mail, or fax to your local politicians and the Canadian government to demand an end to this atrocious slaughter of seals. If you are able to, write often – remind those in a position to stop the Canadian seal hunt that they must do the right thing and put an end to the slaughter of harp and hood seals. Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has the power to stop the hunt. Write to Minister Loyola Hearn, this is the ministry responsible for setting seal quotas and prosecuting violations of the Marine Mammal Regulations.
